what is express entry?

Express Entry is a Canadian immigration system that manages applications for three economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.

Here is a brief overview of the Express Entry process:

  1. Eligibility: To be eligible for Express Entry, you must first meet the eligibility criteria for one of the three economic immigration programs mentioned above. This includes factors such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency.

  2. Creating an online profile: If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can create an online Express Entry profile. You will need to provide information about your education, work experience, language ability, and other details.

  3. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score: Once you have created your profile, you will receive a CRS score based on factors such as your age, education, work experience, language ability, and other criteria. This score determines your rank within the Express Entry pool of candidates.

  4. Invitation to Apply (ITA): The Canadian government regularly conducts Express Entry draws, during which candidates with the highest CRS scores are invited to apply for permanent residency. If you receive an ITA, you will have a set amount of time to submit your application for permanent residency.

  5. Application processing: Once you have submitted your application, it will be processed by the Canadian government. You may be asked to provide additional documentation or attend an interview.

  6. Permanent residency: If your application is approved, you will receive permanent residency status in Canada. This allows you to live and work in Canada indefinitely.

It’s important to note that the Express Entry process can be complex and may vary depending on your individual circumstances. It’s recommended to seek the guidance of an experienced immigration professional to help you navigate the process.
